Very recently, I tried the new widgetset FpGui, fully written in Object Pascal, which also uses the FPC compiler, and which is integrated in Lazarus as a package, but can also be used separatly.
For those who appreciate the clarity of the Pascal language, and its power, a new world is opening.
As an open-source code, it is obviously possible, and even recommended, to contribute to the improvement of this interface.
As a gift, a program written in an environment compiles easily under an other one: no complementary library or dll is required to make the executable running.
As an exemple, here are the Linux and Windows versions of my program Unimesur, where the printing module only is still missing, but which works pretty well, ported to FpGui in only a few days, and some other small programs
